No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimates

At Pine Grove Nutrition Counseling, LLC, we believe in transparency when it comes to your healthcare costs. In compliance with the No Surprises Act, we are committed to providing you with clear and upfront information regarding potential out-of-pocket expenses for our services.

Understanding the No Surprises Act

The No Surprises Act protects patients from unexpected medical bills for services received at both in-network and out-of-network facilities. While this primarily applies to emergency services and certain non-emergency care, we are committed to ensuring that all of our clients are fully informed about the costs associated with their care.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

If you are uninsured or not using insurance, you are entitled to request a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected charges for our dietitian services. This estimate is designed to help you understand what the total cost of care may be, including consultations, follow-ups, and any additional services.

How You Can Request a Good Faith Estimate

To request a Good Faith Estimate, simply contact our office at (207) 830-8300 or ria@pinegrovenutrition.com. We will provide you with an estimate in writing prior to your appointment. Please note that while we strive to give you the most accurate estimate possible, actual charges may vary depending on your specific needs and the course of your care.

Your Rights Under the Law

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of non-emergency services.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the charges.

  • You are protected from surprise billing and have the right to clear, upfront cost information for your care.

We are here to help guide you through the process and ensure you understand your rights and the financial aspects of your care. If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to reach out to us.
